Zero Punctuation - Review of Silent Hill “Origins”

I bought the original Playstation solely to play the game Silent Hill. I really didn’t get many games beyond that and it is in a cardboard box somewhere, its cables and controller probably boxed in other boxes which themselves are probably in larger boxes. You get the idea … I couldn’t even attempt to play it again without a massive undertaking. I got Silent Hill 2 on the PC and played it somewhat but never finished. Eventually I broke down and bought a Playstation 2 when they got dirt cheap. I then bought Silent Hill 2 (again), plus 3 and 4 just to catch up. I knew it was a solid franchise and I’ve always wondered what’s up with any future games.

At one point, I owned a PSP but I quickly got bored with it and unloaded it on eBay. Had I known another Silent Hill series was going to come out as a PSP exclusive, I would’ve hung onto it a little longer. Thankfully I didn’t … and I’ll let an expert reviewer explain why:
